Clymer to leave Pennsylvania Legislature after 34 years in office.
 
Rep. Paul Clymer, the Pennsylvanian politician who introduced a law specifically banning online gambling last year, has announced that at 76 years of age he will not seek re-election before his current two-year term ends November 30 this year.
 
A staunch Republican, Clymer is one of the longest-serving representatives in the Pennsylvania legislature. He joined the House in 1981, and currently serves as House Education Committee chairman.
 
Fellow Republican Rep. Gene DiGirolamo told the Associated Press news agency that Clymer was a role model of integrity, always gave honest answers, and was a man of his word.
