Phil Galfond is opening a real money poker site that promises to put the players first

Online poker players have dealt with cuts in rakeback, tougher games, shoddy software, and fly by night poker sites that make withdrawing your money a bigger gamble than going heads up with Galfond at the tables. Phil Galfond saw an opportunity in the unstable poker climate of today to create a new sort of poker site that puts the players first. He announced on August 31st, 2016 that he is going to open his very own real money site. If you play poker, you should have heard of Phil Galfond by now. He is considered one of the best in the world, not just in no limit hold'em but in mixed games and PLO. Mr. Galfond has competed with the best poker players in the world. Now he is going to pit himself against the best online poker sites.

The next several months will be huge for the future of online poker, with more policy announcements and information being released officially by Phil Galfond. Keep your ears tuned for more information on Phil Galfond's new site, and check out www.playonlinepoker.ie for up to date information on news, reviews, and promos.

Late 2015 was a controversial time for online poker giant www.Pokerstars.com. Their announcement that they would cut out Supernova Elite, their highest level of rakeback, took serious grinders by surprise.  The world of online poker has become more and more competitive as edges become smaller and players obsess over the future of the game. Phil Galfond's idea for a new site is one which puts the player first. His vision includes top of the line software and transparency in business decisions. That means no unexpected cuts in reward programs and a firm support for the idea that poker can be a career.

Character is everything in poker. When players join a new site, they are putting their trust that is it not rigged, that the site is operating responsibly, and that they are keeping their players abreast about future changes. It is difficult to find a negative word against Mr. Galfond. This is important when you look at the scandals poker sites have been involved with, including mismanagement of player funds and outright fraud. The idea of a new online poker site is not just something Phil Galfond has cooked up on a whim. He stated that "this is something I am passionate about and have been working towards for a long time".

Will US players be able to play on Phil Galfond's new site? Unfortunately the answer is currently no. Galfond wants to create a transparent, legal site that does have to deal with the loopholes and pitfalls of working with third party payment processors in a legal grey area. He is endeavoring to create a site that is "agile in this ever-changing online environment". Whether this means that he will attempt to follow in the footsteps of Pokerstars in creating regionally limited access with a copycat of "Pokerstars New Jersey", for example, is unclear. In reference to accepting US customers Phil Galfond has stated that "I wish we could, but we don't plan on accepting US customers in the current climate." Keep in mind that while Phil Galfond has been planning on creating this new site for some time now, it is still in its infancy and new information could arise at any moment.

Can Phil Galfond be successful where so many others have failed? Galfond is a poker pro who has put in an incredible amount of work perfecting his game. He becomes single minded when he has a goal and created highly respected poker training site www.runitonce.com from scratch. He knows what is it like to be a poker pro  and what is important to both serious players and those who view poker as recreation. All of this lends credibility that his new site could be a major success.  We wish him the best of luck in creating one of the best new online poker sites around.
