Steve Paul-Ambrose has stated that he is impressed with the structure of the World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP) this year.
Despite being sent to the rail early on in his mixed hold'em campaign, Paul-Ambrose was quick to say that the tournament had "phenomenal structure" on his PokerStars blog.

Of particular note, according to the PokerStars pro was the consistency of deep stacks throughout the tournament.

He said that the limit hold'em sections of the event drove much of the action later on as players were keen to take down the larger blinds.

Mixed hold'em was introduced in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 2007 and has since become a popular variant on the classic game.

The inaugural $5,000 mixed hold'em game at the WSOP received extra attention when it was won by the youngest player ever to claim one of the coveted gold bracelets.

Steve Billirakis had just turned 21 years old when he won the competition to claim more than $500,000 in prize money.
