Online Poker Banned in Poland

Tuesday June 21 , 2011 : Presidential decree makes the pastime illegal
 
After months of political wrangling, President Bronislaw Komorowski of Poland has signed into law a decree banning some forms of gambling, including online poker.
 
The legalization classes online poker among those game genres that are defined as "hard gambling" games, or games the legislature feels are addictive or present the possibility of cheating.
 
However, it does not appear as if the ban includes tournament poker.
