Betting exchange cements its relationship with the Australian Rugby Union
 
Online betting exchange, Betfair, has become the St. George Reds' latest sponsor and official wagering partner, the Queensland Rugby Union announced this week.
 
The deal includes advertising across the Reds digital platform, in-stadium advertising and grass signage at home games.
 
Queensland Rugby, CEO, Jim Carmichael said: “Betfair has been involved with the Australian Rugby Union for several years. Their decision to go beyond that agreement – to also sponsor the Reds speaks volumes for their support of the Queensland Reds and the Code in general.”
 
Betfair’s Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Twaits, commented "This new partnership will help broaden our awareness nationally, but crucially in the Queensland market. We believe the Reds will help raise our profile and our role in promoting responsible gambling in all sectors,” Mr Twaits said.
