Patrik Antonius Top Online Poker Winner This Week

Tuesday September 2,2014 :  ANTONIUS TOPS THE NOSEBLEED POKER WINNERS

Ferocious Finn scored a profit of half a million dollars on the virtual high stakes tables last week.

Finnish ace Patrik Antonius has been keeping a low profile for much of this year, but he returned with a vengeance to the high stakes virtual tables at Full Tilt Poker last week, crushing most of the opposition over 2,500 hands to end the week with a profit of $517,845, well ahead of his nearest rival, Gus Hansen, who turned things around to emerge as the next biggest winner on $319,999.

The High Stakes Data Base reports that Hansen will have been relieved to end the week in the black ink after his seriously long cooler that has seen him amass $19 million in losses. His end-of-the-week profit was mainly founded on one great 2-7 Triple Draw session towards the end of the week, when he won $750,000.

One of Hansen's victims was Trueteller, who ended the week down $673,174, and has lost over a million dollars in the past fortnight.

Another big loser last week was Phil Ivey, who dropped $590,322 as his cooler continued, racking up losses approaching $5 million.
