Posted 1/19/11 : Four operators to add mahjong software

Mahjong continues to flourish online and off, with over 700 million players worldwide and the potential to overtake poker in popularity, according to software provider Mahjong Logic.

The company has announced that in the first two quarters of 2011 it will be launching its product on new brands that include E-Ventures Asia and the China-facing casino and poker website Tycoonbet.

Earlier this (January) month the firm announced the successful launch of two licensee websites in Hero Mahjong.com and All Mahjong.com.

The Isle of Man-licensed Hero Mahjong is headed by David Jung, former regional marketing director of Pokerstars in Asia, and will initially use the13 tile Hong Kong rule set as it targets players from Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Toronto, Vancouver, and Chinese expats in Europe. Viewed as the most popular rule set for Mahjong, Hero Mahjong will have an adequate amount of player liquidity riding on the Mahjong Logic backbone.

Jonas Alm, Mahjong Logic CEO says that his company's licensing agreement with white label provider EveryMatrix will also shortly come to fruition.

“EveryMatrix truly is a worldwide leader in providing selected online games to their clients and we are honored to be selected as part of their portfolio offering," he said recently. "This deal gives us instant access to over twenty-five worldwide gaming operators already being serviced by EveryMatrix.”

EveryMatrix chief executive Stian Hornsletten said: “The [Mahjong Logic] software integrates with our system with ease and will be part of the turnkey white label solution WonderMatrix.”
