The peaks and valleys saga of internet high stakes poker pro XWINK continued to enthrall online railbirds as the week drew to a close, with the young Vancouver ace dropping $878 000 in a single session on the Full Tilt Poker nosebleed virtual tables.
 
XWINK's nemeses Dan Cates and ‘NoParasan' were the main beneficiaries of his misfortune, which lasted over 1 959 hands of $300/$600 heads up PLO. The Canadian's in-game chat suggested that he was rattled by repeated losses, especially one large pot of $162 000 that went to Cates.
 
It was an expensive business for XWINK as he lost $337 000 to Cates, and another $407 000 to NoParasan, bringing his bankroll down from several millions at the beginning of the week to around $600 000…but still in the black ink.
 
Over at Pokerstars, big name Daniel Negreanu took a $214 000 hammering from ‘Sauce 123' over 860 hands – an unfortunate precursor to the poker star's upcoming and much publicised clash with the mercurial internet ace Viktor ‘Isildur1' Blom.
 
Other big, six-figure winners on the internet high stakes tables overnight included Isaac Haxton, Scott Palmer, ‘DjAdi' and ‘refaelamit'.
