SIS has appointed Gary Smith as chief operating officer

Crucial appointment to the continuing development of the business
 
UK live racing and sports video and data provider Satellite Information Services Ltd (SIS) has appointed Gary Smith as chief operating officer and as a member of the board effective July 1.
 
Smith joins the company from the position of president of the Canadian Bell Video Group, prior to which he held senior roles at BSkyB in the UK.
 
Situated at SIS' new operation at Media City UK in Salford, Smith will support chief executive David Holdgate in running the business and will take over the day-to-day reporting lines for the two divisional Managing Directors, George Irvine and David Meynell.
