The Washington DC-based political publication Politico has published an interesting assessment of why Nevada Senator Harry Reid failed to achieve federal legalization for online poker last year despite strong support from major land casino groups and the American Gaming Association.
 
InfoPowa readers will recall that Reid collaborated with the Republican Senator and arch online gambling opponent Jon Kyl in drafting a bill that traded the legalization of internet poker against a specific ban on most other forms of online gambling…and was remarkably coy about disclosing its provisions to the general public until relatively late in the process.
