INSPIRED CLINCH OPAP DEAL

Enters Greek online and retail virtual sports market

Virtual sports provider Inspired has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Greek betting and lottery operator OPAP for the supply of its full suite of virtual sports, for integration online and across OPAP's retail network.

"The announcement of this deal is a significant one for Inspired and OPAP,” Luke Alvarez, chief executive officer for Inspired confirmed. “Together we will bring best-in-class Virtual Sports to the Greek market, and I'm confident that this represents the commencement of a fruitful business relationship”.

“Inspired's Virtual Sports is a proven product with players in many other European jurisdictions and I am confident that our own customers in Greece will also enjoy playing these entertaining games,” added Damian Cope, chief executive officer for OPAP Group.

This deal is the first new product in OPAP’s long-term “2020 Vision,” Cope said.  Further announcements on additional product launches will be released in the coming months.

Inspired's virtual sports are initially expected to go live in over 4,500 of OPAP's retail shops from early 2017.
