PAF going after novice poker players

Friday July 19,2013 : PAF GOING AFTER RECREATIONAL POKER PLAYERS

New arrangement with Microgaming's MPN supports an intention to ease players into the game

The online poker collaboration between Finnish gambling monopoly Alands Penningautomatforening and Microgaming's MPN internet poker network has resulted in a more recreational player-friendly approach designed to ease novice players into the game.

The company said in a press statement this week that the partnership will premiere a new online poker offering that features a softer approach to the classic game and comes complete with helpful instruction videos and full-service guidance.

“Beginners should be able to learn to play poker at their own pace and on a suitable level together with their poker peers,” said Herbert Paradis, head of poker for PAF.

The company offers a range of different poker softwares in addition to the Microgaming offering; with Both Ongame and IPN from Boss Media available in order to give players a wider choice.

Anders Wiklund, a director of PAF, says the company wants its poker to be "…a friendly place for hanging out and having fun with friends."

“PAF wants to offer something new and unique, something that is non-exclusive in that it suits all players. We believe that this is where the growth potential is,” Wiklund said.
