XWINK Wins some Back

Posted 3/11/11 : Young Vancouver gun wins back some of his losses to top players

The rollercoaster high stakes poker career of 23-year-old Vancouver-based online poker phenom XWINK, who won 2 million in consecutive nights of high stakes online poker, only to lose over a million on another night  was on the ascendancy in his latest clash with international aces like Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and Andreas Torbergsen.

Playing 3,769 hands of $300/$600 Pot Limit Omaha on the virtual nosebleed tables at Full Tilt, he took back $284 000 of his prior losses to stand at over $1.5 million in the black when the session ended.

In one clash with Torbergsen, the young player won a massive $421 000 pot. And XWINK's profit could have been even more impressive, had he not lost two substantial pots in the closing minutes of the session, when Antonius was on the hook to him for half-a-million dollars.

Top high stakes online winner in the latest session was Scott Palmer, who took home $362 000, mainly ‘donated' by Gus Hansen and a player using the pseudonym ‘DrugsorMe', who ended the night with the dubious distinction of Biggest Loser, down $325 000.

Heavy six-figure losses were also recorded against Torbergsen, Ivey, Antonius and Negreanu.
