CRYPTOLOGIC ANNOUNCES MALTA LICENSING DEAL

Industry veteran software developer Cryptologic has announced that it has acquired, for a nominal consideration, the Maltese online gaming licenses for InterCasino from OIGE, a long-standing customer of the company's fully hosted online casino platform.
 
The transfer of the licenses has been cleared by the Maltese Lotteries & Gaming Authority.
 
There has been no further mention of December 15's notification by Cryptologic that it has agreed in principle the outline terms of a possible recommended all cash offer from Amaya Gaming for the acquisition of the entire issued and to be issued share capital of CryptoLogic at US$2.50 in cash per common share.
 
The software company is presumably still in negotiations and involved in the due diligence cooperation required by Amaya before taking the deal further.
