Change in licencee location rules

The Danish Gambling Authority (DGA) has notified the European Commission of a change in rules regarding the location of potential licencees' online gambling systems in the soon-to-be liberalised Danish market.

The Authority will now consider applications from potential licensees whose gambling system is located offshore on the proviso that that country's gambling authority has an agreement with the DGA or if the licence holder can give the DGA access to perform adequate control of the gambling system by means of remote access or similar.

The DGA recently agreed terms in a bilateral agreement with the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) that will see cooperation and information sharing between the two authorities
