Gambling Lobbying Budgets Drop

Three key players substantially reduce their lobbying effort
 
The latest numbers from the US Office of the Clerk show a dramatic fall in lobbying budgets from three major gambling industry lobbyists in the first quarter of 2013.
 
The Poker Players Alliance spent only $75,000, compared with the average $302,000 per quarter in 2012, whilst Pokerstars-Rational Group dropped its lobbying budget by $20,000 in the quarter to $140,000.
 
The land casino giant Caesars Entertainment also reduced its Q1 2013 lobbying investment, dropping it from an average $804,000 a quarter to just $262,000 in the first four months of 2013.
