More Social Gaming From Google

Internet group to pay $182 million for Slide

US media reports in the New York Times and TechCrunch this week provided further evidence of Internet giant Google’s intention to get into the social and casual gaming markets in a serious way

The reports claim that an announcement is imminent from Google that it has acquired the social gaming company Slide for a reported $182 million.

Slide makes popular Facebook apps such as SuperPoke and SPP Ranch. The acquisition follows Google's investments in social gaming giant Zynga, the FarmVille developer.
