Mobile Summit

The mGaming Summit, to be held on the 15th of June in London, will feature expert speakers for the session on ‘Unlocking Apps Stores and M-web'.

With the intention to create a greater understanding of how to optimise format and delivery technology, the four speakers from major companies represent key sections of the apps store market.

GetJar as the largest independent apps store in the world, second only to Apple, is expected to provide an all-round understanding of the market, whilst Mfuse, as the principal mobile user expert in mGaming, and OffsideGaming, a betting operator and technology provider, will provide more targeted insight into how to successfully deliver an app to the gambling market.

Scivisum, a top m-web and apps developer and tester working with leading blue chip and gaming brands, will bridge the gap between both markets.

“The speed with which mobile has become the preferred distribution channel for some gaming companies has surprised many of us," says Matt Jellicoe, CEO, Offsidegaming.com and OffsideBet.com “It is clear now that this is the new battle ground for gaming companies.

"However, getting your ‘mobile strategy’ right on a market by market basis is complex – specifically in gaming. This is the main challenge for an operator spread over multiple jurisdictions, particularly in less developed markets. The mGaming summit has the content and expert panels to give any CEO the information to make the right decisions.’’

Paul Skeldon, editorial manager at sponsor Telemedia 360, says there are basically two ways of getting mGambling services in front of consumers: via an app that runs natively on the phone or via a mobile-optimised website (m-web).

“Each offers its own advantages and each has its drawbacks," says Skeldon.  "Unlocking these inherent advantages and disadvantages and delivering the insight to help operators make an informed decision on how to make best use of mobile is clearly one of the key areas that any mGambling conference needs to tackle before anything else. For that reason we have lined up a panel of experts from App stores, developers and games creators to talk you through how to get the most out of mobile."
