November numbers from Nevada more encouraging
 
The Nevada Gaming Control Board said Wednesday that November gambling revenue statewide rose 7.06 percent to $880.1 million, compared with November 2010, when licensees reported a gaming win of $822,097,967.
 
For the fiscal year (July 1, 2011 through November 30, 2011), gaming win has increased 1.09 percent.
 
On the Las Vegas Strip, which accounts for more than half the total, the take was up 9.02 percent to $495.3 million. Slot machine win on the Strip edged almost 3 percent higher while table games spiked 18 percent. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2011 through November 30, 2011), gaming win on the Las Vegas strip has increased 1.49 percent to $2,512,162,276.
 
Nevada collected $57,340,756 in percentage fees during the month of December 2011, based upon the taxable revenues generated in November 2011. This represents a 15.17 percent (or $7,552,550) increase compared to the prior year’s December, when percentage fee collections were $49,788,206.
