Paul Phua Wants Poker Playing Ban Lifted

Saturday January 10,2015 : NEW PHUA APPLICATION TO THE LAS VEGAS COURTS (Update)

Whilst we await judicial decisions, at least let us play some poker, says Asian ace.

Asian poker ace Paul Phua and his son Darren, currently on bail in Las Vegas awaiting court decisions on the legality of FBI actions during an illegal sports betting bust in the gambling mecca has asked for a court ban on his personal playing to be lifted.

The Associated Press news agency reports that Wei Seng "Paul" Phua and his son, Darren Wai Kit Phua, were arrested mid-2013 on allegations of illegal sports betting and ordered not to gamble while out on bail.

On Monday Phua legal representatives asked the court to lift the ban on playing poker, arguing that this would pose no risk or danger to the community or illegal flight.
