SOUTH AFRICAN TO HEAD GLOBAL REGULATORY ASSOCIATION

South African, Serobi Maja has been appointed president of the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR).
 
Maja was elected to the executive committee of the US-based organisation in 2005 and subsequently appointed deputy president in 2007.
 
Responsibilities in his new capacity as president will include developing norms and standards in licensing and regulations in the gambling industry.
